No, that’s not stupid, I totally get it! I mean, I thought the ending was okay, I was just disappointed, because I was expecting more of a twist to Light’s death. He definitely needed to die, no question. And, you’re right, it was really realistic, which I mean is cool to a degree, but the show was so deep I was kind of hoping for a deeper ending. I do love Matsuda though. He was the best. I mean, I just don’t understand the people who hated the ending because “lIGHT NEEDED TO WINNN!!111 HE GOT RID oF BAD PEOPLEE!11” I was like no, no, Light needed to go. aahaha xD
Meh, I don’t think the show needed to go any deeper because Light didn’t deserve it. Ryuuk was following Light around for Five or something years and when Light died, no, when Ryuuk KILLED him, he was just kind of like “Well that was fun. Oh whatever, life goes on. I think I’ll just go home and have a spot of tea. Yes yes, quite so, pip-pip-da-doodely-doo.” like he didn’t give a shit about Light…which he didn’t. I think Light had to die in such an “anticlimactic” way was because he was such a shitty person that he didn’t even deserve to die in a heroic way. He just got shot by a looser and ran away like a little bitch until he bled to death on some staircase in some abandoned place. I think the show just wanted the viewers to think of his death like the death of any other villain. Like there’s always someone like him. They all suck, but they’re not big deals.
Hm, that’s actually a really good point. I see what they were trying to do there. Light didn’t deserve a climatic awesome death. I getcha, I guess I had just built my expectations of some huge shitstorm of plot twists up in my mind so much that when he got shot and ran away like a pansy I was like THAT’S IT???
I did laugh hysterically though, when he was getting shot and everything, oh my God. I couldn’t stop. There’s something wrong with me. And the fact that it was MATSUDA. Omg. I couldn’t.
I felt bad for Light’s mom and sister though like omg her son/brother murdered their husband/brother and a million other people and like that’s not a fun thing to live with ahahha.
