my seven-year-old sister has her friend over and my sister brought her into our room to show her it and the girl saw my Zuko doll and asked why there was a dead man with bacon on his face in her room omg I’m done this Zuko doll keeps causing me problems no one understands me

let’s not forget when I bought my zuko doll, I threw it on my bed for a second to go take out the trash and my mom went in my room and saw it and screamed “WHO IS THIS STRANGE MAN IN YOUR BED?????”
and I still haven’t fully recovered my laugh box since the incident.
But that still wouldn’t make much sense because Iroh kept trying to deter Zuko from following his father’s every whim about capturing the avatar. Iroh kept trying to tell Zuko that he’d be happier just living in Ba Sing Se and give up his futile search for Aang and stuff. I think if that was true (or, say it is, and Iroh even knew) that Iroh would tell Zuko. I think he’d tell him like “dude, he’s not even your real father, don’t give a shit what he says, you don’t even have any blood obligations to the guy”.
Zuko went through enough shit already that I think Iroh would’ve just laid it on him if he knew. Plus, Iroh always seemed to be honest with Zuko, even if it hurt Zuko, ‘cause well Iroh wanted what was best for him ‘cause he loves him. So, idk. I think Iroh would have definitely spilled the beans if he knew.
Not sure if thinks Zuko is an asshole character or if is referring to the cliffhanger from The Search saying Zuko is possibly an illegitimate child conceived out-of-wedlock.
I know everyone’s already hypothesized the letter as a forgery by Azula, but if you put together some pieces, it kind of proves it. I’m not sure if it’s been noted yet, but…

Alright, so Azula has the letters here. Ozai told her about them, obviously, and their little time in the cell could’ve been the two concocting this whole thing.

Look, here’s the most important panel.

Azula burns one fold of the letter.

And, deliberately hides the rest of it behind her back. The part of the letter that finished the statement, that clarified the part about Ikem supposedly being Zuko’s father. She burnt that page to make it seem like Ursa was writing letters to her past lover about their secret love child.

See, the two letters are different.

And, Azula right here admits of her plan to overthrow Zuko. “Now I have the evidence I need to Zuko from the throne.”
Azula’s always been a sneaky bitch, whether she lost her sanity or not.
The whole thing is her ploy to usurp the throne, probably in cahoots with Ozai.
It was to make everyone freak out. I figured this awhile ago, but now I have stuff to back it up more without just assumptions. All it took was a little attention to details.
Now, I don’t know if I’m just slow on this or what, probably.
But I thought I’d throw it out there for anyone freaking out about Zuko’s biological father. Rest assured, it’s more trolling, as usual everyone… :P
I bet old!Zuko isn’t going to show up until the finale of the entire Legend of Korra series in book 4 on the last episode.
I’ll be as old as him by the time we see him.
I drew this scene based off of The Search, assuming Azula and Zuko found their mother in the end. I always wondered about how Katara would feel about Zuko finding his mom, when she lost hers, and how she initially and subconciously used Zuko as a scapegoat for her mother’s death. Eventually, though, Zuko helped Katara find her mother’s killer and give her a sense of justice. So, I thought Katara would want Zuko to be able to find his mother because even though she can’t get hers back from the Fire Nation, she’d want her friend to have his. I liked the parallel and I doubt we’ll see any mention of it in the actual comic, so I wanted to do something for it. I also originally had Aang with his hand on Katara’s shoulder, but changed it to Sokka, because people, including Katara, forget he lost his mother too.
I drew a thing, I hope you like it! :b
an avatar high school au where zuko and azula take the role of sharpay and ryan evans
omg what if the gaang and Azula make it to Hira’a and Zuko and Azula meet their maternal grandparents if they’re still alive
You know, if Zuko’s mom turns out to be dead I’m gonna be pretty upset just because I’m dying to see her reaction to Zuko’s scar. I’ve always really wanted to see that. But I’ll be even more mad if the reaction is boring and un-heartfelt so… we’ll see how this goes.
I’ve probably been pronouncing Zuko’s “dad’s” name wrong in my head this whole time
how are you guys saying it? I keep saying “eye-keym”
I bet it’s like “eye-kem”
damn it.
This is just like all the Pokemon names.
I think she’s going to be alive, but I wouldn’t rule out her being dead…at all.
I think for plot purposes, her being alive is more compelling and makes more sense, but…who knows.
I think she has to be alive for the sake of Azula’s plot. I mean, they could pull a whole “Zuko gave Azula a life-changing field trip” gig, but I think Azula really needs to “face her mom” to start to…get over her…issues or whatever.
I do think, in order for the pacing to make sense, they’d have to find her like halfway through the next volume if they want to properly explore everything that needs to be faced upon her return.
-shrugs-
Is no one going to discuss how Ursa’s fiancé ran off into the woods and lived like he was Chuck Noland from Cast Away like this somehow was going to solve his problem of being dumped as a teenager
